The Contest Winner is.......

The total weight of the eyelets was 51.2 lbs. The closest guess was SCS's collector. I will be contacting you for your address to send you a prize.

Keep an eye out here tomorrow for photos of the counted eyelets to date. I have so far counted 15 colors and hope to get another 7-8 done tomorrow. My boys have been helping me bag them up and they are troopers!
A quick update, then back to counting. I have completed 11 colors to this point. I didn't get to count any last weekend because we were at a family reunion. I hope to finish them by the end of this week. I'll take a photo and post it tonight of the counted eyelets!

Finally.....Some New Cards!

I've had a lot of people asking me to post more cards on my blog. My stamping friend Michelle specifically requested the one on the bottom.

For the top card, I used SU Certainly Celery and Cameo Coral. I ran the celery through my Cuttlebug. I stamped the Coral with my Aida Cloth background in Coral ink. I used gamsol and my Prismacolor pencils on the leaves and pear. I used some of my organdy ribbon on the top of the card. You can't see it that well in the photograph, but I cut out a tag from acetate with a CB die and stamped the word "wish" on the tag then threaded it on the ribbon.

For the bottom card, I used SU Certainly Celery, Lavender Lace, and Apricot Appeal. I stamped the Apricot with my On the Spot background (can't part with that one!). I used my Seeing Spots set for the remainder of the card. All of the stamping on the accent pieces was done with craft inks and embossed with clear embossing powder. The striped ribbon is some that I will be carrying on my new website.

To see a preview, you can visit www.pinkhedgehogpapercrafts.com. Some of my pricing may not be accurate. We're in the process of crunching numbers and getting everything photographed and listed on the site. My pricing is very similar to share pricing. Because I can now purchase from manufacturers, I can in many cases offer pricing below what I was charging for shares and still be able to run it as a business.

The Eyelets Are Here!!

I'm so excited and pleased to announce the arrival of the eyelets!! Can you imagine all of those boxes filled to the absolute top with bags of eyelets?? I'm opening only one at a time because otherwise I'd be overwhelmed with the task at hand! I'm still taking guesses on the total weight of that stack of eyelets. I will take guesses until Monday and announce the winners here on my blog. To enter, send me an e-mail or a PM on SCS with your guess as to the total weight of the eyelets as shipped to me. This includes everything you see in the top picture.

The bottom picture shows the counting process in action. I have a little counting scale (bottom center). I scoop the eyelets from the bowl into those little cups, then dump the cups into little baggies. I enlisted my kids in the dumping process with the promise of treats. Perhaps a trip to the Dollar store is in order when we're done. LOL I purchased a bunch of tubs (green box on table) to put each completed color into. Once the colors are all counted, I'll be sorting them into sets.

The eyelets just arrived yesterday. I started the counting process in the evening and completed 3 colors last night. I'll update here frequently to let you know how quickly I am able to complete the counting. I estimated it would take me 40 hours and we'll see how accurate that is.

I also have to say.....they look fabulous! The colors are great and I think you'll all be very pleased!

Fantastic News!!!

I just got an e-mail from the wholesaler letting me know that the eyelets are boxed up and ready to go out. I just paid the shipping costs at PayPal, and they'll be on their way to me on Monday.

To keep us all busy, I'll send a little gift to the person coming closest to the total weight of the eyelets when boxed up. To enter, just drop me an e-mail with your guess, or a PM on SCS.

Good News!!

Good news in the eyelet department! Get your Cropadiles ready to crop-a-dile!!

I heard from the wholesaler today that the eyelets are all finished and ready to ship. I paid the 2nd installment this afternoon and they will be on their way. I asked for a shipping estimate and she said the factory usually takes 2-3 days to get the eyelets to her and she will have to repackage and prepare them for shipping to me. I'll update when I get them and on my progress in counting them.

Yay for us!!
