Four Challenge Cards for today!
This card photographed with a very orange tone, but in real life it is a vibrant red. I made this card for the Vive la Verve October week 2 challenge. The challenge was to use this sketch and to NOT use orange or brown. This card has a little bling! I stamped the poinsettia in Real Red Craft Ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I added Aqua glue to the center of the poinsettia and adhered yellow microbeads over the stamped image.- Stamps: Poinsettia Christmas (Verve), Mixed Messages (PTI)
- Paper: Dasher, Old Olive DP, Real Red, Very Vanilla (SU)
- Ink: Real Red Craft, Old Olive Classic
- Accessories: Gold Striped Organdy, Fire Engine and Gentle Times Buttons, Kaiser Pearls in Red, Yellow Microbeads, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder
This card is so sparkly and shimmery in real life. Nearly every panel has bling of some kind on it! I stamped the background stamp (CHF) in Brilliant Blue Craft Ink and embossed using Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The whole background is alive with sparkles! The sentiment is also stamped in Brilliant Blue Craft Ink and embossed with the Iridescent Ice embossing powder.- Stamps: Winter Wonder (Verve), Snowflake Serenade (PTI), Pretty Pattern Backgrounder (CHF)
- Paper: Bashful Blue DP, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White
- Ink: Brilliant Blue Craft, Bashful Blue Classic
- Accessories: Kaiser Rhinestones in Dark Blue, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, 7/8" Royal Blue organdy
Another Cute & Simple card this Monday. This card and the next use the "thumping" technique. Basically, you ink up your stamp and "thump" your marker on the inked stamp in a darker or contrasting color. I used Old Olive on the image and thumped it with Garden Green. The card is scored 1/2" in from the edges all the way around the card. Stamps are Baroque Motifs (SU) and Winter Wonder (Verve). Kaiser Rhinestones are from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts.
